Pigment Digital Printing

2 November 2026

In pigment digital printing, the final result depends heavily on the balance between pretreatment (preparing the fabric to receive the ink) and post-treatment (fixing and consolidating the pigment on the fiber). This pairing determines definition, bleeding (ink bleeding), migration, penetration, rub fastness, resistance to washing, and the final hand feel of the printed fabric.

In industrial practice, process stability is just as important as overall reliability. With high-performance ink, you avoid machine downtime, printhead failure, clogged injectors, and the frequent changing of filters.

The pretreatment applied by impregnation GP INK JET P-SP CONC is a compound that prepares the fabric for printing, enabling better definition and color performance. Subsequently, the compound GP FIX KM acts as a fixing and softening agent, improving initial fastness results. Our technicians’ experience ensures guaranteed machine conversion and/or a guaranteed ink loading, supporting the customer from pretreatment through to finishing— including the creation of print profiles. We carry out a true “turnkey” project that meets the expected requirements.

The ink must be adjusted to the technical specifications of the printheads. To cover the wide range that exists in the textile digital printing sector, we offer the following series: STARPRINT DP HV is the high-viscosity pigment ink series, STARPRINT DP is the medium-viscosity series, STARPRINT DP LV is the low-viscosity series, and STARPRINT DP ULV is the ultra low-viscosity series. The complete solution: Pretreatment, ink, and finishing are the key to obtaining brilliant colors, good definition, excellent fastness, and a soft hand feel. From GP TEXTRON, we provide a single, reliable, guaranteed solution backed by ink loading and machine conversion for different brands and in different countries for more than 3 years.
